Selma Blair's Emotional First Red Carpet Walk Since MS Diagnosis
Actress Selma Blair made her first red carpet appearance since announcing her diagnosis with MS last year. With cane in hand, she absolutely stunned at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party and proved to so many that she is a true fighter.
On Sunday night, Selma Blair made her first appearance since she announced her diagnosis of multiple sclerosis in October of last year. The actress has taken to social media to discuss the trying times she's been through with the disease. On Sunday however, she looked absolutely stunning.
Selma is a Fighter
Selma wore a blush, ice blue, black and mint green gown with a cape. Her superhero like appearance only further strengthened the fighter in her as she conquered the red carpet last night. She carried a custom cane to further support her movement as well.
"We feel alone"
According to People, Blair has said that “Going out, being sociable holds a heavy price, my brain is on fire. I am freezing. We feel alone with it even though the loving support has been a godsend and appreciated.”

This is love . @tombachik customizing my cane with my monogram and a real pink #diamond. How did I get so lucky? I wanted a special cane for #vanityfair dinner. So... @lyon_hearted went out and found patent leather and @bic_owen and he stitched it on. Hours of love put in. And then #tombachick made it especially magical. I burst into tears. These gifts to get me through. #subtle #chic #love. I can't thank these three enough. There are angels. #oscars2019
The disease is often unpredictable and the severity can vary from person to person. We applaud Selma Blair for being so courageous and walking the red carpet like a warrior. We wish her well and nothing but the best, always.
