Alanis Morissette is sharing her parenting hack with viewers! The mother of three is opening up about what homeschool looks like at her house.

A unique way to homeschool

Alanis Morissette is sharing her approach to homeschooling her 9 year-old son, Ever while they social distance amid the novel Coronavirus pandemic.

Appearing on The Late Late Show With James Corden, the "Ironic" singer revealed that she found the key to homeschooling was "unschooling."

“It’s probably open to interpretation. I think everyone does it a little differently but unschooling is very child-led, not in that very charged, age-inappropriate way, but more that their tendencies, their creativities and their curiosities aren’t squashed," she explained to the host.

"It’s making sure that there’s some physical, some social interactive way of going within and helping your children navigate the inner landscape and of their feelings and their thoughts," she continued.

The one downside, she said, is the fact it's a 24/7 deal, and not a set time of day.

I think homework is a very odd concept," she added.

As for new music, the musician shares that she still looks at her 1995 hit album Jagged Little Pill fondly, adding, "First of all, it’s fortuitous because I can perform it without cringing, that helps."
