Andy Cohen Shares That His Son Ben's Former Nanny Is Now Anderson Cooper's Son's Nanny!
Andy Cohen has confirmed the speculation that his son's nanny is now helping out with Anderson Cooper's son! Find out more about how this thoughtful exchange happened!
Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper have such a close friendship, they're even sharing a nanny for their sons! As People reports, on Monday's episode of his SiriusXM radio show Radio Andy, Cohen revealed that his son Ben's nanny is now with Cooper!
"I've been talking about my nanny [saying] she's leaving, that she's gonna go help out a friend," Cohen explained, "and the moment Anderson announced it I got a bunch of DMs from eagle-eared Radio Andy listeners saying, 'Wait ... is that where your nanny went?' The answer is yes, that is where my nanny went."
Cohen says nanny transition from Ben to Wyatt was "long planned"
Cohen went on to say that the switchover had been in the works for some time. "We had long planned this transition, but I certainly didn't expect it to happen during a quarantine, of course," Cohen explained. "So we had to really handle this hand-off from one home to the next very carefully, but we did and she is now with Anderson and I know she's gonna get Wyatt on a great sleep schedule just like she got Ben."
Cohen also expressed his excitement for his friend becoming a father. "I'm so happy for Anderson," he said. "We've been talking about this for a long time and I have been really enjoying Anderson coming over. His visits with Ben have taken on a special significance since we both knew for a while that Anderson was planning on [becoming a dad] himself."
Cohen wants his and Cooper's sons to "get to know each other"
Cohen has been a father for a year and a half, and as People shares, he's excited for his and Cooper's sons "to grow up together and be friends and get to know each other," especially since they're close in age!
"It's a great age difference for them to be pals, only one year," he said. "It was fun over this past year for Anderson to come over and for me to watch him with Ben and know that this would be his thing, and he was obviously paying attention to a lot."
Cohen says he's seen Cooper "light up and open up" in fatherhood
Cooper recently welcomed son Wyatt into the world on April 27 with an emotional on-air announcement which Cohen commended, saying it had him in "a puddle of tears" because of the difficulties of having a baby as a gay man.
"He went through a lot, and I'm just so happy that his son is so beautiful and happy and healthy," Cohen said, expressing his joy. "I've already seen Anderson light up and open up in new ways. Like all homes that welcome a baby, his home is now full of the music of new life and family."
