Filming for season 6 of Queer Eye is on pause due to the coronavirus, but star Antoni Porowski decided to get creative. This is the Instagram show he's cooked up for fans!

Antoni Porowski is using his culinary skills to bring tasty recipes and a bit of humour to the world! The food expert on Netflix's Queer Eye, which recently started filming its upcoming season 6 in Texas before being put on hold due to the coronavirus, has started up a new cooking series on Instagram!

On Monday, Porowski shared the first video in his humorously titled IGTV series "Quar Eye: Cooking Lessons From Quarantine". The video, which is just over 8 and a half minutes long, features Porowski showing viewers how to make what he's dubbed a "Keep Calm-lette". "EP#1: The Keep Calm-lette: An omelette made in isolation is still an omelette," Porowski captioned the video. "Served w a black bean salsa made w whatever was left at the grocery store".

Porowski talks about eating "things that make us feel good"

Porowski reveals that in his first episode of "Quar Eye", he had originally planned to make huevos rancheros. However, he was unable to collect all of the ingredients because panic buying had limited his grocery options! So instead he bought eggs, canned beans, a red onion, tomatoes, avocados, and limes to make his "Keep Calm-lette". "We need to eat things that make us feel good, even in pandemics like these," Porowski explains in the video.

Porowski's tips to viewers about stocking up, using protein

His cooking show also offers viewers helpful tips on key food products that they should stock up on at home, such as eggs. "They are high in omega-3s. Don’t throw out the yolks because they’re delicious and really good for you and packed with protein," advises Porowski as he cooks the eggs.

Using the other ingredients he bought at the store plus a pinch of salt, he then makes a simple black bean salsa. “What’s nice about this," Porowski shares, "is you have a regular salsa recipe, but suddenly it turns into a whole meal because you’re adding protein and fiber".
