Dabney Coleman is an American actor born in Austin, Texas on January 3rd, 1932. The now 87-year-old success is still acting on screen today! Coleman first found major success with films like The Towering Inferno (1974), On Golden Pond (1981), Tootsie (1982), Cloak & Dagger (1984) and The Beverly Hillbillies (1993).

One of Dabney Coleman's career defining roles was starring in the classic movie 9 to 5 as "Franklin Hart Jr." who was a sexist boss where three female employees (Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin) got their revenge. This role in 9 to 5 was the role that established the character type Coleman would identify with and frequently portray in roles to come. He was often known to play the role of a comic relief villain.

Dabney Coleman in WarGames

Dabney Coleman broke from his stereotypical role in the 1983 movie WarGames alongside Matthew Broderick. In this movie, he played the role of military computer scientist "John McKittrick" in what was considered a more serious drama film.
