Blanchett also mentioned what it's like to be spending time with her kids now that school isn't going ahead as planned. "I had taken a year off being a working mother of four, my eldest son was doing his A-levels," Blanchett explained.

"And so I took the year off ostensibly to be with him and support him through that exam period, and then all of that exam stuff evaporated." Now that her son Dashiell isn't able to finish his exams, he's stuck at home with Blanchett.

"And, of course, I'm left with an 18-year-old who doesn't really want to have anything to do with me," Blanchett said. "So it's a little bit discombobulating." She also shared that she's ended up having to play the role of kindergarten teacher for her daughter Edith!
