The winner of the 17th season of The Bachelor, Catherine Giudici Lowe, is reflecting on her time on the show. She believes the production had ulterior motives for casting her but even so, she learned a lot from that alone.

Catherine Giudici attends Downton Abbey Vintage Party 3rd May 2013 in Santa Monica, CA.

Catherine Giudici Lowe was the winner of both the 17th season of The Bachelor and of Sean Lowe's heart. Now she has taken to Instagram to reflect on her time on the show. In her post, she explained that she and her husband's season of The Bachelor would be airing in a shortened episode and that she "was very flattered but somewhat grounded by the fact that I would be one of the faces that represented people of color. I knew that one of the reasons I was probably chosen was because I was Filipino."

Catherine opened up that she did not believe she had a real chance with super sweet Sean because she was only there to "check a box" but "I allowed this experience to open myself up to the possibility of being fully loved and appreciated for all that I was. I ended up getting to represent a mixed-race community, I found Christ (I LOVE my testimony!) and marrying the most amazing man I've ever known."

Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici attend the Disney ABC Television Group's 2014 winter party on January 17, 2014, in Pasadena, California.

She shared her experience in hope of inspiring her fans who ever feel what she felt by saying "Don't count yourself out. You are destined to do bigger things than just check a box." She and Sean ultimately married and had 3 gorgeous children together. They love to show off the heart-meltingly cute faces of Samuel, Isaiah, and Mia on social media.

Her message is truly important especially during these trying times and we cannot wait to see what she and her family have in store next!

Tomorrow, our season of The Bachelor re-airs in a condensed three hour episode. When I was originally cast, I was very flattered but somewhat grounded by the fact that I would be one of the faces that represented people of color. I knew that one of the reasons I was probably chosen was because I was Filipino. I counted myself out to be his fiancée because of what I assumed Sean liked. I thought I was there just to check a box, but I ended up with so much more. I became present with the process and as he started noticing me for who I really was, I allowed this experience to open myself up to the possibility of being fully loved and appreciated for all that I was. I ended up getting to represent a mixed race community, I found Christ (I LOVE my testimony!) and marrying the most amazing man I've ever known. I'd say doing this show was one of the best things that ever happened to me. ❤️ (Don't count yourself out. You are destined to do bigger things than just check a box.)
