When Morgan Wallen found out he was booked to perform on Saturday Night Live, he was over the moon, but that all came crashing down after some poor choices during a weekend of partying. Adorable, handsome, and rowdy Morgan Wallen was set to be this weekend's musical guest during an impressive episode of Saturday Night Live, but his impulsive nature got in his own way. He has been removed as the musical guest and is now expressing genuine contrition and will be working on making some big changes to his lifestyle.

Morgan Wallen Removed As SNL Musical Guest

This weekend's episode of Saturday Night Live was going to be a big night, with world-renowned comedian Bill Burr hosting and the election parodies in full-swing. Morgan Wallen was over the moon to be the musical guest and went into full party mode. Unfortunately, incriminating video of him partying with fans in a bar, ignoring COVID-19 restrictions, making out with strangers, and riding around in fans cars earlier in the week surfaced on social media.

New York City was hit badly by the pandemic and is still reeling to get back on solid ground so fans everywhere expressed anger and disappointment in Morgan. Now Morgan has posted a heartfelt and sincere apology video to his social media and letting fans know the bad news.

The "Whisky Glasses" singer explained, "I'm in New York City, in a hotel room. I was getting ready for SNL this Saturday, and I got a call from the show letting me know that I will no longer be able to play, And that's because of COVID protocols, which I understand."

Morgan continued, "I'm not positive for COVID but my actions this past weekend were pretty short-sighted, and that have obviously affected my long-term goals and my dreams. I respect the show's decision because I know that I put them in jeopardy. I take ownership for this. I'd like to apologize to SNL, to my fans, to my team, for bringing me these opportunities and I let 'em down."

The former The Voice contestant just became a father for the first time in July with his ex-fiancé Katie Smith and expressed that his SNL removal was a wake-up call for him, saying "And on a more personal note, I think I have some growing up to do. You know, I think I've lost myself a little bit. I've tried to find joy in the wrong places and I don't know, it's left me with less joy. So I'm gonna go try to work on that. I'm gonna take a step back from the spotlight for a little while, and go work on myself."

Country Star Morgan Wallen's Apology

Morgan Wallen's fame has been sky-rocketing as he has been performing with Jason Aldean and even was scheduled to be Luke Bryan's opener for his tour before the pandemic postponed the tour for 2021. He had been looking forward to performing on SNL especially considering he is a fan of the man who would be hosting Bill Burr.

"I wish I coulda made country music and my fans proud this Saturday, but I respect the decision once again, and Lorne Michaels actually gave me a lot of encouragement by letting me know that we'll find another time to make this up, so that means a lot to me, thank you for that."

"And lastly, I know that I'm taking some heat - a lot of heat - but I just wanted to let you guys know that your messages of encouragement haven't gone unnoticed, either. It may be a second before you hear from me for a while, but I'm gonna go work on me, and I appreciate y'all respecting that. And I'll talk to you soon. Love you." Hopefully, the mullet-donning hunk has learned a lot and will grow positively from this experience, and hopefully, we'll get some beautiful music out of it!
