Those close to popstar Demi Lovato are saddened to hear about her split from Max Ehrich, however slightly relieved! It was revealed to the singer that Ehrich didn't have pure intentions around their relationship, and Lovato called it quits just 2 months after their engagement announcement. 

The sad truth was revealed to Demi Lovato about her latest beau, Max Ehrich. The popstar is dealing with the painful loss of her fiancé, but those closest to the singer are relieved it's over!

Multiple sources close to Lovato confirmed that Ehrich's intentions weren't pure and that it was for the best Lovato ended the whirlwind of a romance.

Demi Lovato shocked by her ex's intentions

During the fast-moving relationship, Demi Lovato wished for the best for her and her ex-fiancé, Max Ehrich, however, it recently came to light the soap star didn't have the best of intentions when he paired up with the singer.

Multiple sources revealed to People that the two were quarrelling non-stop these last few weeks, and Lovato was seen shortly after rumours spread of the split without her ring.

"It was very hurtful to Demi when she realized that Max's intentions weren't genuine," the source revealed. "Breaking off the engagement was not an easy decision."

Adding that the couple spent all their time together isolating during the novel Coronavirus, it was not until recently that the couple realized they may have moved a little too fast.

"They lived in a bubble with zero stress and everything was just fun," another source said.

Things quickly began to change when Ehrich had an opportunity to film a movie in Atlanta.

"Max shot up in fame, and it's been hard," says the insider. "He got wrapped up in [Hollywood]."

Previous posts of Ehrich commenting on Selena Gomez's photos surfaced, but Lovato at the time supported her beau, and defended him, saying the comments were fake. 

It wasn't long after Lovato realized Ehrich may have been using her name to further his own career. 

"It was hard for Demi to admit she made a mistake when it came to Max," the source concluded.
