Henry Thomas has been arrested. The 48-year-old actor, best known for his role in  E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, was found passed out in his car in the middle of a residential intersection in Oregon. Get the full story here...

Henry Thomas, known as "Elliott" in the 1982 film E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) in Oregon this Monday. The Tualatin Police Department revealed they found the actor passed out behind the wheel, after they received a call at around 8.30pm reporting a car that wasn't moving in the middle of a residential intersection.

Police officers had to wake Henry Thomas up to take him to the Washington County Jail. After being booked for a misdemeanor for driving under the influence, he was released on Tuesday morning on his own recognizance. His first court date is scheduled for November 1st.

What has the Henry Thomas been doing lately?

Henry Thomas became famous in the early 1980's for his role in Steven Spielberg's E.T. the Extra-TerrestrialLater on he starred in several projects including films like Fever (1999), Red Velvet (2008), and most recently Gerald's Game (2017).

His career on the small screen includes shows like CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2009), Law & Order: SVU (2016), and most recently Netflix's The Haunting of Hill House in 2018. He is set to play "Charles McNider" in the upcoming superhero series Stargirlwhich will premiere in 2020.
