Former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe's Love Journey

Die hard BN fans will remember Kaitlyn as the hilarious runner up on Chris Soules' 2015 season of The Bachelor and then earning the Bachelorette title in an unprecedented way. She and another contestant competed for the title by having the contestants of the season vote for Kaitlyn or Britt Nilson.

Ultimately she was picked and had an incredible season, even controversially allowing past Bachelor Nick Viall to compete for her love and eventually becoming engaged to her winner Shawn Booth. Kaitlyn and Booth eventually broke off their engagement and through a chance meeting, Kaitlyn and Jason Tartick from Becca Kurfin's season met and have an incredibly successful relationship.

Jason Michael Tartick. The guy who will always look at life glass half full. The guy who is an early bird just to make sure a day isn't wasted. He will bring me coffee in bed while he reads his morning paper. He is engaged in every conversation he has. He genuinely cares what people have to say. Unless you are a troll. He literally couldn't care less about negative trolls. His energy is freakin electric, and he works his ass off building something that I think will change people's lives. (Shameless plug for @restart_reset ). I don't think people really know how hard he works on that. Not only does he work on himself but he will take the time to help me with all the financial aspects of my businesses. We have helped each other grow in so many ways. Through this weird time yes, of course I have wanted to throat chop him, and I'm sure there have been plenty of times where he's wanted to run. But I know we both don't know what we would do without one another and I just felt like sharing my gratitude for him today. I write in my journal every morning and night how grateful I am, but today I took it to the gram. (I can't wait till he sees this because he gives the best hugs)

Now in her new podcast, Kaitlyn delves deep into her past and the struggles that eventually led her to the happy place she is in now. Hopeless romantic Kaitlyn had suffered serious depression after abandoning her dreams and goals to follow her old boyfriend. After the breakup between the two she reached out to doctors who prescribed her anti-depressants and Valium, the latter she ended up becoming heavily addicted to.

"I had become addicted to Valium and I was about 93 pounds and that is when somebody had to shake me and say you can't live like this, this is not you." Kaitlyn shares her story in hopes that fans will take with them what she learned along her journey like "You cannot make somebody responsible for your own happiness."

She also dished to Cosmopolitan that she is rooting for Bachelor Peter Weber and Kelley Flanagan! Many were shocked by this considering that Peter has been so indecisive in his path to find love but Kaitlyn put it best: "They seem actually genuinely happy and a good match for each other. Sometimes it takes a weird path to get there, but they got there, and I'm into it."

No one could have said it better. Check out Kaitlyn's new podcast here!
