'Star Wars' Actor Jake Lloyd: Why Did Young "Anakin" Disappear?
Jake Lloyd became famous for his role as "Anakin Skywalker" in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace in 1999, but his professional career actually ended tragically. After appearing in the iconic film the actor retired from public life due to very difficult situations in his personal life.

We all know that movies can get negative reviews, but Jake Lloyd's performance in the Star Wars film was actually very criticized and many fans were dissatisfied with it.
As a result he had to deal with negative comments also in school, were his classmates made his life a bit difficult. According to the actor, kids were really mean to him and he had to conduct about 60 interviews per day when he was only 10 years old, as reported by Daily Mail.
Jake Lloyd: Why did young "Anakin" disappear?
Jake Lloyd decided to retire from the film business in 2001 as a result of the bullying he experienced in school, but four years later, he appeared as "Mike" in the 2005 film Madison (filmed in 2000), which was the last time we actually saw him on screen.
Later on, the actor had a series of different problems, in 2015, he was arrested in South Carolina for driving without a driver's license and resisting arrest, he actually spent 10 months in prison and eventually he was transferred to a psychiatric clinic.
A couple of months later, there were rumors about him becoming violent towards his mother, and at some point she revealed that her son was suffering from schizophrenia and that he had no control over himself.
Jake Lloyd's story is definitely very sad, and Star Wars fans only hope to see him recovering! Get well soon Jake!
