Janelle Monaé Says That She "Would Love To" Play 'X-Men' Superhero "Storm"

Janelle Monáe wants to be a superhero on the big screen!
As People reports, Monáe recently shared her desire to play "Storm," the weather-controlling mutant from the X-Men comics, in a future Marvel Cinematic Universe movie. And according to her, she's put her dream role out in the universe before!
Monáe says "it would be a dream" to be "Storm" in Black Panther
"One of my dreams has always been to play Storm. I don’t know if she comes in Black Panther, but it would be a dream to have her in it. I don’t know where they are with that."
Monáe says that "Storm" actresses have "done an exceptional job"
"Storm" originated in the X-Men comics back in the 1970s, and she has been portrayed by several actresses since. As People mentions, the most famously known portrayal of "Storm" is Halle Berry's. Berry played "Storm" in the X-Men movies, her last appearance in 2014's Days of Future Past.
Alexandra Shipp also played a younger version of the character in 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse and 2019's Dark Phoenix. "A lot of women have played Storm and they’ve done an exceptional job," Monáe enthused, "and I would love to be in that line of artists and get to do Storm justice."
