Jennifer Aniston won the People's Icon Award 2019. She thanked her fans for being with her on this journey and paid tribute to her Friends co-stars, "I would not be standing up here without that amazing show," she said.

The Friends and The Morning Show star Jennifer Aniston won the People's Icon Award 2019 at the People's Choice Awards ceremony held in Santa Monica this Sunday. Her Murder Mystery co-star Adam Sandler was the one who presented the prize with a very funny speech recalling how they met.

The 50 year old actress took to the stage to accept the award and gave an emotional speech honouring her Friends co-stars; she could barely contain her emotions! "If I have any claim to this word 'icon' it's only because I was able to be on an iconic show with an iconic cast and an iconic haircut. I mean, Friends was truly the gift of a lifetime, and I would not be standing up here without that amazing show and those amazing five other actors," she said.

Jennifer Aniston has proved in many ways that she is iconic

Aniston is the second recipient of the People's Icon Award, following actress and comedian Melissa McCarthy who won the prize in 2018. It seems like "Rachel Green" really knows how to confirm her reign of popularity! Jennifer recently joined Instagram crashing the app and breaking the Guinness World Record for reaching over a million followers the fastest. She explained she had no idea her Instagram debut would attract so many people and revealed she actually offered to pay for fixing the app, "I said, 'I'll pay for it, I'll fix it! I don't know what it is that I actually broke," she said.
