In a new interview, the members of K-pop sensation BTS shared how much their fanbase— which is known as the "ARMY"— means to them! They also talked about their new song "Dynamite." Find out what they said!

BTS want to let their fans know that they help keep them going! As Entertainment Tonight shares, the K-pop boy band, which consists of seven members— Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook— recently talked about their fanbase during an exclusive interview!

BTS member Jimin shares how the group's fans inspire them

BTS talked to Entertainment Tonight's Denny Directo over Zoom, opening up about their year so far. "You know, 2020 has been truly a rough year for many and there were many surprises changes," RM told Directo. "To be honest, we thought we needed a break from that, so we focused on what we can do the best and that was music and performance." Jimin then opened up about how much BTS' fanbase has impacted them.

"I want to say, ARMY really is our inspiration. Things are tough for everybody, and everybody's really going through a hard time," he said. "But I think for ARMY to have this energy and show this drive, it really inspires us. It inspires us to make our music and it comes out through our music. So again, we want to thank ARMY. Thank you, ARMY, for being our inspiration."

Jimin, RM, Jungkook, V, J-Hope, Jin, and SUGA of the K-pop boy band BTS visit the Today Show on February 21, 2020.

BTS talks first English song "Dynamite": "we just loved it"

BTS also made headlines recently after releasing their first song entirely in English, "Dynamite"! During the group's interview with Entertainment Tonight, RM talked about the way the song came about. "It was a huge, enormous showing for all of us," he said. "But we decided to do it because, you know, let's try something new in this current situation, this pandemic."

The end result of "Dynamite" was something that BTS ended up being happy with, which is why they kept it in English! "I think everyone did well. "When we first listened to the demo, we just loved it and [decided] let's keep it this way," RM shared. "And we done it!"

BTS say their VMA performance is "sort of a retro feel"

BTS may have had to cancel their tour due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the K-pop boy band still has a few exciting things coming up this year! As Entertainment Tonight mentions, BTS' musical documentary Break the Silence: The Movie is set to be released on September 10.

The group will also be performing "Dynamite" at the 2020 MTV VMAs on August 30! "[There's] a lot of new visuals," V shared. "It's gonna be sort of a retro feel, so fans can look forward to that." Considering that the video for "Dynamite" premiered on YouTube less than a full day ago and it's already racked up over 64 million views, it's safe to say fans are excited about this new chapter for BTS!
