Life Before Fame: This Is Kacey Musgraves
Kacey Musgraves, "Follow Your Arrow" singer began songwriting at the age of 8, writing a song called "Notice Me" for her elementary school graduation. Musgraves self-released three albums before appearing on the fifth season of Nashville Star in 2007, where she came seventh. In 2008, she recorded two singles for Triple Pop in Austin, Texas - marking her breakthrough to fame.
Born on August 21, 1988, when she was 12 years old, Musgraves took guitar lessons from a musician named John DeFoore, which she later described as "one of the most important things that ever happened to me." It wasn't long before her family later funded her first self-released album and the singer-songwriter shot into the spotlight.

Kacey Musgraves really found stardom when she appeared as a contestant on season five of Nashville Star. Finishing the competition show in seventh place, the Texas native really got her foot in the country music door.

Kacey Musgraves' career today
As of late Musgraves released her album Golden Hour in 2018. Later that year Golden Hour won 'Album of the Year'. Since the album release, she put together the Kacey Musgraves Christmas Show in 2019 that was streamed on Amazon Prime Video. Musgraves is continuing to make music today and we absolutely can't wait for her next album!
Kacey Musgraves' Personal Life
In 2017, Musgraves married Ruston Kelly, however just this year, they announced their divorce. We will have to wait and see what's next for the Grammy-winning music artist.
