LGBTQ+ advocate, Kathy Griffin, has shared with fans via Instagram that she is in a COVID-19 isolation unit. This news comes less than a week after her mother, Maggie Griffin, passed away.

Politically outspoken Kathy Griffin's latest Instagram post showed the reality of the coronavirus struggle. She showed an image of herself in a hospital isolation ward above a screenshot of President Donald Trump's latest tweet about COVID-19 testing. In the tweet he claims "the US has done far more "testing" than any other nation, by far" to which Kathy challenged "he's lying".

The major hospital Kathy has been taken to is unable to test her even though she is showing the symptoms of the virus. There has been a lot of criticism of how the US has handled the virus outbreak especially since the President denied there was a legitimate disease at all until recently.

Kathy has said she is showing "unbelievably painful" symptoms and has been sent to a special COVID-19 isolation ward but cannot be tested for the disease due to restrictions. This comes less than a week after her mother, Maggie Griffin, passed
