Kristen Stewart recently spoke about how proud and happy for her ex-boyfriend and co-star, Robert Pattinson for his new role as "Batman". We are also excited to see Pattinson hit the big screen in the coveted black suit!

Robert Pattinson is hopping in the Batmobile for the next three Batman films. This will be Pattinson's first blockbuster franchise he's stepping into since his role as "Edward Cullen" in the Twilight Saga.

During the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival this past weekend, Kristen Stewart was there promoting her new film Seberg, and shared her excitement on the red carpet for her former co-star and ex-boyfriend's new role.

"I feel like he’s the only guy that could play that part," she told Variety at the film festival. "I’m so happy for him. It’s crazy. I’m very, very happy about that. I heard that and I was like, ‘Oh man!’ It’s awesome." Stewart also told Variety that if she was asked to join the franchise alongside Pattinson, she would not turn that down.

The announcement of Robert Pattinson being cast as the new "Batman" came with some criticism from some of the audience but it didn't seem to phase Robert. He is excited to take on the role with less expectations from people and ready to put a fresh twist on the iconic role. We can't wait to see the first film hit theatres in June 2021!
