Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande are more than just two artists featured on a song together! The creative icon shared with the world how she felt about Grande while accepting the VMA award for Best Collaboration on behalf of herself and Grande.

If there's one thing Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande do best, it's creating cultural phenomena with their music! The two 21st century icons are being celebrated this year at the VMA's, and took home the Best Collaboration award for their hit single "Rain On Me."

Accepting the award on behalf of them both, Lady Gaga revealed that the two women are so much more than just co-workers, and announced her love for the "Thank U, Next" singer.

"Rain On Me" took the world by storm when it was released earlier this year, while the world was hunkered down during the novel Coronavirus pandemic. Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande ended up taking home the Best Collaboration award for the song this year at the virtual 2020 VMA's!

Accepting the award on behalf of them both, Lady Gaga graciously accepted and announced her love for her pop sensation pal.

"This means the world," Gaga started, accepting the award from Jaden Smith.

"Ariana and I really connected through this song. Me and Ariana are truly soul sisters," she said.

Directing her words at Grande herself, the "Bad Romance" singer said, "Girl, this is for us. We both been through some s--t together, but we were willing to share that with each other. Ari, I love you."

Gaga then went on to talk about the creative process for the hit song saying, "I feel like when we were in the studio, we turned our tears that felt like endless rainfall into diamonds. And I will treasure those diamonds with you forever."

Along with Best Collaboration, the duo also took home Song Of The Year, and on her own, Gaga took home Artist of the Year.

Both Grande and Gaga lead in most nominations, earning 9 each.

"I am so grateful and so blessed to have 9 #VMAs nominations this year for my album Chromatica, for 'Rain on Me', and other performances I've given," Gaga said.

"This is such a difficult time for people all over the world, I really honour how lucky I am to have a day like today," she added.
