Lala Kent Opens Up About Pregnancy, Says She's "Unsure" If She'll Ever Return To 'Vanderpump Rules'
Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent is opening up about her pregnancy journey, and where she sees herself in the future. The current mom-to-be shares how rumours of a pregnancy pact with the girls on the show were true!
It would seem that half the cast of Vanderpump Rules is expecting a little bundle of joy, and Lala Kent is among the three women from the show who make the list!
Expecting a little girl with her fiancé Randall Emmett, Kent is opening up about her pregnancy, and where she sees herself after the baby is born.
Lala Kent reveals details of her pregnancy
Lala Kent, Stassi Schroeder, and Brittany Cartwright are all expecting little babes in 2021. Kent, who is expecting a little girl with her fiancé and movie producer beau, Randall Emmett, revealed exclusively to ET that rumours of a pregnancy pact may in fact be true.
"It was real!" Kent exclaimed to the publication, via video chat. "It sounds so cheesy, but I have always been hell-bent on having my children grow up the way that I did, which was very much, like, my mom was friends with all my friends’ parents and it was so much fun. I had a great childhood."
The pact apparently came to be when Randall and she joined couples, Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz, Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor, Stassi Schroeder and Beau Clark on a trip to Mexico a few years back.
The women intended to hold off until they had all gotten married, however, the current pandemic changed all of that. According to Kent, it was actually Schroeder that put the pact in motion, and she was also the first to get pregnant.
"I’m talking to her and she smiles and says, 'I’m pregnant,' like, y’all need to get it poppin!" Kent said. "So, I called Rand and I was like, 'It doesn’t matter when the wedding is happening, we’re yanking my IUD out!"
Emmett said that Kent got pregnant within 16 days of Schroeder announcing her own pregnancy.
Kent and Emmett conceived likely around the same time Cartwright and Taylor did, and both ladies are due in April 2021.
The future of Vanderpump Rules
Kent chimed in to add she expects Maloney and Schwartz to be pregnant by the end of this year, and season 9 of Vanderpump Rules will feature the babes - if there even is one at all.
After getting fired for insensitive comments and past racial prejudices, Schroeder said in her latest interview with Tamron Hall that even if she were asked to come back she would still say no. Schroeder revealed that being a mom has changed her perspective, and she wouldn't feel comfortable appearing on television largely based on drinking and shenanigans in Hollywood, a sentiment that Kent also shares.
"I need to see what next season would entail," Kent admits. "I need to make sure that’s a healthy space for me. I don’t get to think just about what’s good for Lala and how she would react to certain things, you know? I’m going to be a mother."
Until there's a firm date set, Kent will discuss with the powers that be what the future of VPR holds. Whether on reality TV or just in real life, Kent said she knows this baby will change her.
"I don’t want her to have a mom that’s popping off left and right," she said. "There’s a lot of things that are going to change. Now, I’m not saying I won’t clap back, because that’s just in my DNA but, yeah, I think I’m going to be much more delicate. I hope."
"She’s very maternal," Emmett adds of his fiancé, who also is a stepmother to his two children from a previous marriage, London, 10 and Rylee, 6.
"I didn't think I could be so in love with something that I’ve never met before," Kent said of her unborn baby girl.
