Leonard Cohen's "Thanks For This Dance" was brought back to life in a beautiful tribute to the late Canadian icon.

Leonard Cohen's legacy continues 

On Tuesday, the official music video for the late Canadian icon’s song “Thanks for the Dance” debuted.

“Thanks for the Dance” was first released on Cohen’s posthumous album of the same name, which came out in 2019.

Musician Leonard Cohen performs at the Beacon Theatre.

The album is nominated for Adult Alternative Album of the Year at the 2020 Juno Awards.

Directed by London photographer Harley Weir, the video features stunning images of people in nature dancing and moving together.

“I’m a huge fan of Leonard Cohen,” Weir said. “His lyrics are so raw and yet so warm. I am honoured to be a part of his legacy.”

Canadian poet Leonard Cohen performs at the Glastonbury Festival.

Featured in the video are actress Rowan Blanchard as a bride, and model Lily Cole as Venus.

Leonard Cohen passed away in 2016 at 82 years of age, and is most celebrated for his stunning composition of the classic song, "Hallelujah".
