Antoni was born in Montreal, Quebec but moved to New York City where he began auditioning for several acting roles. He has stated his Polish roots made it difficult for him to find a job, but eventually he began to appear in films such as Elliot Loves in 2012, and Daddy's Boy in 2016. He was also featured in the 2015 docudrama To My Father, which was part of the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.

Antoni discovered his passion for food a long time ago. He first worked in the food industry in order to pay his bills when he was younger. His career before starring in Queer Eye includes serving as a busboy at a family-run Polish restaurant, and later on as waiter and sommelier, which led him to manage a Bond Street sushi restaurant. His culinary skills earned him the opportunity of serving as food and wine expert in Netflix's big hit Queer Eye, where he helps people to find the best way of cooking for them or their families on a daily basis.
