The only 1.45 m tall actress made her film debut in 1980 in the music comedy Popeye, in which she appeared alongside Robin Williams.

Hunt also performed as "Grandmother Willow" in Pocahontas and has been on NCIS: L.A. since 2009.

Hunt was a well known theater actress before she stepped into the world of TV and Hollywood. 

She won a Tony Award for her work in the 1984 play "End of the world" and she was a member of the "Long Wharf Theater" Company in Connecticut. 

Linda Hunt worked along side some of the most popular stars of Hollywood. She worked with Arnold Schwarzenegger on Kindergarten Cop and Kevin Costner on Dragonfly.

Linda Hunt is the first actor to have won an Academy Award portraying a member of the opposite sex, she won the Best Actress in a Supporting Role Oscar for her role as "Billy Kwan" in The year of living dangerously.

She also voiced numerous documentaries for National Geographic and lent her voice to "Lady Proxima" in Solo: A Star Wars Story.
