Before his big break as "Albert" on Little House on the Prairie, Matthew Labyorteaux already gained some experience in front of the camera. Actually, his career began with a commercial. When he accompanied his brother Patrick Laborteaux to a casting call at the age of seven, he was discovered and landed his first part in the movie A Woman under the influence.
Shortly afterwards, he was casted for the role of the adopted son "Albert Quinn Ingalls". With that role came stardom for little Matthew. Little House on the Prairie was popular all over the world and is still one of the most popular family-series today. Overall, there were 210 episodes over the course of ten seasons.

After the TV series concluded, Matthew Labyorteaux appeared in many feature films. One of his best-known roles is probably the one of "Paul Conway" in the film Deadly Friend. Since 1992, the actor has withdrawn from the limelight and focuses on voice-acting instead.
Matthew Labyorteaux lent his voice to various characters in cartoon series and video games such as Yu-Gi-Oh! GX or Star Wars: The Old Republic. You can also hear his voice in the new Netflix series The Girl and Her Robot - The Next Generation.
