In 2017, Melanie Griffith was diagnosed with skin cancer for the second time. After undergoing treatment for some months, doctors have declared that it has been a success. The gorgeous actress celebrated the good news by posting a make-up-free selfie.
After a long fight, Melanie Griffith (61) has finally defeated cancer. The actress confirmed in an interview with Instyle magazine that she had been receiving treatment for skin cancer on her nose. After the cancer had been removed, Melanie Griffith recently shared an empowering make-up-free photo of herself on Instagram.

“Bandaged again after having dermabrasion, the final step to fix the now removed basil cell skin cancer,” Griffith wrote under her recent selfie. The actress had already been diagnosed with skin cancer once before in 2009, but, luckily, the malignant cells were successfully removed. In September 2017, the terrible disease returned. Melanie Griffith has been in treatment for past eleven months and can now finally breathe a sigh of relief.

“It’s a scary thing when you’re an actress and you depend on your face for work. But I realize I have to put a Band-Aid on it, and it’s fine. I just look like a dork,” Melanie Griffith told Instyle.
