Miley Cyrus is headed to Australia next month, and with good reason! The singer announced via Twitter on Sunday that she will be headlining the World Tour Bushfire Relief concert, set to take place at Melbourne's Lakeside Stadium on March 13th.
"AUSTRALIA! I’m so excited to announce I’m headlining the World Tour Bushfire Relief charity concert on Friday March 13th in Melbourne !!" Cyrus wrote. "Bringing out @LilNasX + more!"
Cyrus to be joined by other big name artists at benefit concert
Cyrus also shared a promotional poster for the concert alongside her tweet, which revealed who else will be taking the stage that night! Another well-known American singer, Lil Nas X of "Old Town Road" fame, has been tapped to perform, as well as Australian alternative duo The Veronicas and British DJ Seb Fontaine!
As Entertainment Tonight reports, because of the support from World Tour's sponsor AgBioEn, proceeds from the concert will be donated to Australian charities that are attempting to restore forests, wildlife, and communities affected by the devastating fires.
Some of these charities include the Foundation for Regional and Rural Renewal, as well as WWF's Australian Wildlife and Nature Recovery Fund. Tickets for the benefit concert are set to go on sale February 25th at 2 PM AEDT and can be purchased here.
