Peter Weber, also known as Pilot Pete, is set to be the next Bachelor for the series' 24th season that is set to premiere in January 2020. He has reportedly split his face open and had to receive surgery.

The next Bachelor is in rough shape after a golf game in Costa Rica. A source claimed that "he went to step on the cart but fell and split his face open on two cocktail glasses he was carrying."

As a result of this terrible injury, Peter had to travel two hours to a hospital for an emergency surgery in which he received twenty-two stitches in his face. The incident apparently occurred just one day before the women competing for Peter's heart were set to arrive in Costa Rica. A second source commented saying that "he is pulling through." It is not known at this time how the show will deal with his injury and exactly what the recovery time is.

The 24th season of The Bachelor is currently set to premiere on ABC on January 6th, 2020. Stay tuned for more.
