The online rumour said that Oprah was involved in sex trafficking, which led to her arrest.

Oprah got right to the point in her tweet. "Just got a phone call that my name is trending. And being trolled for some awful FAKE thing. It’s NOT TRUE. Haven’t been raided, or arrested," the tweet says.
She then referenced the true events of her Tuesday evening: "Just sanitizing and self distancing with the rest of the world. Stay safe everybody."

Oprah received support on Wednesday morning from figures including Gayle King and filmmaker Ava DuVernay. It's unknown precisely where or how the rumour was started. But some speculated that Michael Jackson's fanbase was behind the online attacks.
Winfrey had earlier supported the men who accuse Jackson of sexual abuse in the Leaving Neverland documentary. Jackson has outspoken defenders who target his accusers and those who support them. But the source of the attack is unverified as of yet.
