Pauley Perrette gained worldwide recognition with her starring role on NCIS. In the series, she played forensic scientist "Abby" until she left the show in 2018, after which things became rather quiet for her. Now she has announced that she no longer wants to work as an actress.

Fans of Pauley Perrette (51) must now be very sad because the NCIS alum shared some rather shocking news about her future in the entertainment business... or lack thereof. The "Abby" actress announced the end of her acting career on Twitter by saying, "I’m HAPPILY RETIRED! Finally! Woot! All I ever wanted!"

She further explains on Twitter, "Actually I retired after NCIS but BROKE was important, beautiful. I did my last dance & am proud of it! Everyone that knows me knew I was retiring right after. I’m proud of my work. I love you guys! I AM FREE!!! (To be the tiny little simple human I am!)"

After leaving NCIS, where she was seen as a forensic expert "Abby" for 15 years, Pauley Perrette was on the small screen again for a new project in the series Broke. However, Broke ended after just one season and now we have learned that this also ended Perrette’s career on screen.

The end of her career in Hollywood doesn't seem to be particularly difficult for the TV star, as she is looking forward to raising rescue dogs and plants! So it seems like that's what we can find "Abby" doing these days. Although we are sad to see her acting career come to an end, we are happy that she is moving forward and doing things that bring her joy!
