Ricky Schroder went on to appear in numerous TV productions after Little Lord Fauntleroy. At twenty-eight, he became a member of the NYPD Blue cast and starred in the series for three years. Two years later, he played nurse Paul Flowers in the hit series Scrubs, in which his character Paul was in an on/off relationship with Dr. Elliot Reid, played by Sarah Chalke (41).

Ricky Schroder was arrested at his home in Los Angeles in May 2019. Several media outlets such as CNN have reported this unanimously. According to a police report available to the media, this was the second time within 30 days that Schroder had been arrested. The report further reveals, Ricky Schroder was arrested both times for domestic violence. It was the same victim in both incidents. However, the woman refused local medical treatment.
