Trixie Mattel is one of the most favorited characters from the series, RuPaul's Drag Race. Although she placed six on the show, she made a comeback by winning first place in RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars. Check out what drag queen Trixie Mattel is up to today!

The glitzy Trixie Mattel's real name is actually Brian Michael Firkus, and was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Of course, today, the television personality lives in a much bigger, sunnier city that is Los Angeles.

After he gained fame from RuPaul's Drag Race, the comedian/singer went on to start a YouTube web series titled UNHhhh, along with fellow drag queen Katya Zamolodchikova. Because of the success of this series, the glam duo also had their own TV show, The Trixie & Katya Show, which appeared on Viceland from 2017-2018.

Trixie's other entertainment ventures

Aside from her many television appearances, Trixie also has a singing career of her own! In 2017, she released her country folk album Two Birds, and then One Stone the following year. She has said how singers Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton have influenced her music.

More recently, Trixie Mattel appeared in the documentaryTrixie Mattel: Moving Parts, which focus on her life and career as a singer. The film premiered at the prominent Tribeca Film Festival and was directed by Nick Zeig-Owens.

Trixie in comedy

Miss Mattel also recently announced her 2020 comedy tour, which will take place both in the U.S. and Europe! It's not her first time on tour: her first solo comedy tour took place in April 2018 called, "Now with Moving Parts".
