Earlier this week, Ryan Reynolds announced that he has a brand-new streaming platform! Reynolds called Mint Mobile+ the "most affordable" streaming service, and it turns out there's only one option available! Find out more here!

Ryan Reynolds has debuted a brand-new streaming service, but it won't exactly be in competition with Netflix any time soon! As People shares, the actor— who's known for his online trolling— revealed that he'd created a new video streaming site called Mint Mobile+.

Reynolds' Mint Mobile + only has one movie on offer

Reynolds took to Twitter on Wednesday to announce his new venture. "Every tech company needs a streaming service," the actor tweeted out, along with a video advertisement. "So… introducing Mint Mobile +. The world’s most affordable streaming service!"

The platform seems to have a variety of films on offer, but a closer look reveals there's only one thing available to stream on Mint Mobile +, which is Reynolds' 2003 movie Foolproof! Also starring Kristin Booth, the movie is about a group of Canadian friends who find themselves forced to pull off a heist after a criminal executes their plan.

Just a few minutes after Reynolds launched the streaming service though, he tweeted that it likely won't last long. "Two minutes after launch and our crack data team has already determined Mint Mobile + should probably be shut down by the weekend," the actor said. "We’ll go back to focusing on premium wireless…"

Reynolds has program for BIPOC filmmakers in the works

Reynolds' new streaming service may have been a joke, but he does have an exciting new project in the works with real potential! Through his project The Group Effort Initiative, Reynolds intends to give several BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People Of Colour) filmmakers the opportunity to work on the set of one of his future movies.

"These new recruits will be paid and housed out of my salary and will spend their days on set learning from professionals," Reynolds explained on the website for the initiative, "and getting real-life experience that they can then parlay into another job and another job and hopefully a career in the film industry."

Reynolds to star in new adventure movie for Netflix

Reynolds' new project has been revealed to be a time travel adventure movie for Netflix directed by Shawn Levy. Levy also directed Reynolds' upcoming movie, Free Guy! As People shares, Reynolds first made the announcement about The Group Effort Initiative back in July.

He said he plans to accept anywhere from 10 to 20 trainees for the project, as long as the coronavirus pandemic doesn't cause too long of a delay. Reynolds has clearly managed to have a sense of humour about the current situation though! The actor joked that he's been "mostly drinking" while quarantined with wife Blake Lively and their daughters, and even had a bit of fun on Instagram with Lively!
