Sasha Alexander: From Dawson's Creek to "Caitlin Todd"
After a rocky start in the TV world with minor roles on two short-lived dramas, Sasha got her big break starring in the fourth season of Dawson's Creek as Joshua Jackson's sister "Gretchen Witter". Then followed some smaller roles in feature films like He's Just Not That Into You and Yes Man (alongside Jim Carrey).
Then came her biggest break yet: Alexander joined the cast of NCIS asd Special Agent "Caitlin Todd" in 2003. Her time on the popular CBS drama was quite successful, but only 18 months long as her character was killed by a terrorist.
Her next big success came in 2010, when she joined the TNT series Rizzoli & Isles, co-starring alongside Angie Harmon as Chief Medical Examiner for the Commonwealth of Massachussets. The show lasted for 7 seasons, until 2016.
Ever since, she has had a recurring role on Showtime's popular drama Shameless, playing "Helene Runyon".
