Selena Gomez will star in a new HBO Max cooking show! The "Boyfriend" singer has already shown her skills as a cook through her social media accounts, and now she has the opportunity to showcase her skills through the HBO Max platform with a guest chef in each episode.
Selena Gomez In New HBO Max Cooking Show Selena + Chef
The new series is called Selena + Chef and it will have a total of 10 episodes, where Selena Gomez will learn to cook a recipe from a guest chef, but the challenge is that she must do it remotely, both she and the cook will be at home.
It is worth mentioning that this new program from HBO Max was recorded and produced during the COVID-19 pandemic, to avoid any risks as well as to adhere to all guidelines put in place. Check out the trailer below!
Selena + Chef: Who are the guest chefs?
Some of the chefs who will participate in the series and who are known for their culinary knowledge of traditional dishes in Japanese, Mexican, French and Italian cuisine, among others, are Angelo Sosa, Candice Kumai, Antonia Lofaso, Nancy Silverton, Daniel Holzman, Nyesha Arrington, Jon & Vinny, Ludo Lefebvre, Tonya Holland, and Roy Choi.
The Wizards of Waverly Place star said she took the show as an "opportunity to make something that could make people smile."
Cooking For Charity
With the idea that anyone can make a mistake in the kitchen, Selena + Chef presents its format to the general public, encouraging others to try new things in the kitchen. However, the show is not necessarily just focused on culinary experts.
In addition, each episode will be dedicated to a charity responsible for providing food to those in need.
It is not the first time that we see Selena Gomez involved in a project for television, but this one undoubtedly attracts more attention because months ago she was seen practicing her seasoning on Instagram.
