Selena Gomez has always been a big mental health advocate and has been very open with her fans about her own struggles to help normalize a very taboo topic. During her interview with Miley Cyrus on Bright Minded she spoke about her bipolar diagnosis.

Selena Gomez has been one of the biggest voices for mental health awareness and opened up even more to Miley Cyrus on her show recently.

"Hands to Myself" singer Selena Gomez has been very honest about her struggles with mental health not only through her music but also via social media and countless interviews. Her transparency about needing help and exactly what she struggles with has helped this very taboo topic become more talked about and normalized.

Her longtime friend, Miley Cyrus, invited Selena on her new popular Instagram talk show Bright Minded to speak about her discoveries and how to take care of yourself during this scary time of isolation and uncertainty. Selena revealed she was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder after a visit to a Boston hospital and she "wanted to know everything about it, and it took the fear away."

Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez Open Up About Mental Health To Help Fans

"Wrecking Ball" singer Miley Cyrus is also very open about the importance of mental health and asked Selena, "What's something you can use to help filter helpful thoughts versus hurtful thoughts" which led the two to discuss what tools they each use to better take care of themselves.
