Taylor Swift has just revealed that her mom Andrea has a brain tumor, which was diagnosed while she was undergoing treatment for cancer. The 30-year-old singer previously opened up about her mom's illness in a deeply personal track.

During an interview with Variety, the 30-year-old singer Taylor Swift revealed that her mother Andrea has been diagnosed with a brain tumor while undergoing treatment for cancer. Andrea's cancer returned for the second time while Taylor was filming her upcoming documentary Miss Americanawhich is set to premiere on January 31st.

Taylor Swift opens up about her mom's illness: "For me, she's really the guiding force"

The "Shake it Off" singer opened up about her mother's diagnosis and explained she was the reason she wanted to spend less time touring this year. "Everyone loves their mom; everyone’s got an important mom. But for me, she’s really the guiding force. Almost every decision I make, I talk to her about it first. So obviously it was a really big deal to ever speak about her illness. It’s just been a really hard time for us as a family," she said.
