'The Batman': Jonah Hill And Jeffrey Wright In Talks For Major Roles
Robert Pattinson's "Batman" might have his very first co-star! Jonah Hill is apparently in talks to star as the villain opposite Pattinson in 'The Batman' directed by Matt Reeves. Jeffrey Wright could also join the cast as "Comissioner Gordon".
As Variety reports, the producers of the movie, which is scheduled for release in 2021, have been eyeing Hill for the role for a while now but first wanted to cast the role of the masked vigilante. Robert Pattinson will be playing "Batman" and sources tell Variety that Hill is being considered as a villain. The deal has not closed yet, but both sides are apparently in good spirits that Hill is joining the cast.
The Batman: Will Jeffrey Wright play "Comissioner Gordon"?
There are also rumors that Jeffrey Wright (Westworld) could be cast as "Comissioner Gordon", the role previously played by Gary Oldman in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy.
'The Batman' will going into pre-production this summer, although an official start date for shooting has not been set. Director Matt Reeves took over for Ben Affleck in January 2017 and has been developing the project ever since - after Affleck also dropped out as "Batman", Reeves got to pick his own "Bruce Wayne".
