'The Big Bang Theory': What Is "Bernadette" Doing Today?
Not only did Melissa Rauch win over the hearts of the men of The Big Bang Theory with her quirky personality, but she has also won over the hearts of audiences all over the world. Find out what Melissa Rauch is up to today right here!
One of Melissa Rauch's first major roles in her career came when she joined the cast of hit television series The Big Bang Theory in 2009. Originally only hired for a guest role, Melissa was ecstatic when her character "Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz" was promoted to a series regular in season four.
While nerdy, "Bernadette" was just as pretty as her co-worker "Penny", and it wouldn't take long for "Bernadette" to win over the heart of "Howard Wolowitz". "Bernadette" became a fan favorite for her quirky personality, and sometimes dramatic outbursts, and Melissa Rauch would eventually be nominated for a Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in 2013.
Melissa Rauch After The Big Bang Theory
Melissa Rauch would continue to play "Bernadette" for a total of 10 seasons until The Big Bang Theory's final season in 2019. While playing "Bernadette" Melissa also took on a variety of other roles including parts in films such as I Love You, Man (2009) and The Bronze (2015), the latter of which she co-wrote and produced!
In addition to film, Melissa Rauch has also had smaller roles on popular series including The Office, True Blood, and Australian TV series Kath & Kim.
Melissa Rauch Today
In 2007, Melissa Rauch married her college sweetheart, screenwriter Winston Beigel. Truly a couple of the 21st century, Winston honored Melissa by taking her surname after the pair married. The couple have since had two children, daughter Sadie (2) and newborn son Brooks!
The now 40-year-old considers herself truly lucky to have been able to marry her college sweetheart and in an interview with New Jersey Monthly stated that Winston "is my best friend and the love of my life, in addition to being an incredible writing partner. The only thing I regret is not meeting him even sooner, as my life has just gotten better since he came into it." We wish the happy family only the best!

I am incredibly thankful and overjoyed to announce the birth of our son, Brooks Rauch, who we just welcomed into the world and directly into our hearts. His arrival was made possible, in no small part, by the front line heroes - the nurses and doctors who show up each day to make sure that life keeps marching forward, regardless of the circumstances. Words can't describe how grateful I am to have this baby boy join our family, but to say that it is a surreal time to be bringing life into the world is an understatement. Given that, I wanted to share some thoughts with other expectant mothers or "Pandemamamas" - as I like to call us - who are navigating these uncharted waters. Please go to the link in my bio to check out the essay I wrote on the subject for Glamour. As I've previously shared, I am no stranger to loss on the road to motherhood - so to those dealing with infertility or grieving a loss, please know you are in my heart and I'm sending you so much love. ♥️
