Simon Bird played the role of "Will McKenzie", a former private school student who moves school to Rudge Park Comprehensive. The show follows "Will" and his friends as they find their place at the school, attempting to be seen as cooler individuals but desperately failing to do so. Let's see what "Will" is doing today!

Bird was educated at Cranmore School, West Horsley, the Royal Grammar School, Guildford, and Queens' College, Cambridge, where he read History along with Inbetweeners co-star Joe Thomas. At Cambridge, Bird was the President of the Footlights, the university's sketch and theatrical group (paving the way for his acting interest). He graduated with a double First.
