Tim Allen Stars In Christmas Classics Through The Years
Christmas movies will always have a special place in our hearts and it appears that Tim Allen knows how to rock around the Christmas tree! Having multiple starring roles in 5 holiday films, we think that Tim might actually be Santa...
Starting back in 1994, Tim played the starring role as Santa Claus in The Santa Clause. This film sparked a famous Christmas trilogy consisting of The Santa Clause (1994), The Santa Clause 2 (2002) and The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause (2006). It wouldn't be Christmas without Santa, and in our opinion we think Tim Allen brought all the jingle during this special Christmas role.
Tim Allen in The Santa Clause
The Santa Clause (1994) is about a man that inadvertently kills the real Santa Claus on Christmas Eve and then is magically compelled to take his place. "Scott Calvin" (Tim Allen) with the help from his son "Charlie" (Eric Loyd), puts on the big red suit and hops in the sleigh as they attempt to save Christmas together. Is it just a one time gig or is does "Scott Calvin have a new found responsibility as the man in the big red suit?"
In The Santa Clause 2 (2002), "Scott Calvin" must get married before Christmas otherwise there will be no Santa Claus. As his niece "Lucy" (Liliana Mumy) gets suspicious, will "Scott Calvin", otherwise known as Santa find love and stay Santa Claus after all?
Tim Allen in The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause
The third and final movie The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause (2006), is full of action and uses the most powerful clause of all: the escape clause. "Jack Frost" (Martin Short) wants to become Santa Claus and take over Christmas. Will "Scott" be able to overcome this frosty challenge and keep his role as Santa, or will "Jack Frost" take over Christmas forever?
Tim Allen in Christmas with the Kranks
Tim Allen played another fantastic role as "Luther Krank" in Christmas with the Kranks (2004). When his daughter is leaving town for Christmas, he decides that him and his wife "Nora" (Jamie Lee Curtis) are going to skip Christmas and go on a tropical vacation. Skipping Christmas does not bode well in their town and things get a little messy. Their daughter "Blair" decides to come home for Christmas, leaving the "Kranks" 12 hours to decorate and get everything ready for her arrival. Will they be able to do it? With the help of the community and a little Christmas spirit, anything is possible!
Netflix's El Camino Christmas
The most recent Christmas movie Tim Allen starred in, is the Netflix original El Camino Christmas in 2017. This film is completely different from the magical Christmas roles he has previously played as this movie is a comedy-crime.
All in all, Tim Allen represents Santa Claus(e) and brings joy to our television screens every holiday season. Christmas just wouldn't be the same without him!
