Tommy Lee Jones has been in several movies and shows throughout his 50-year long acting career! Born on September 15th, 1946, Jones was born and raised in the state of Texas, but would later move to Boston to attend Harvard College. While there, his roommate was none other than former U.S. Vice President Al Gore. Upon graduating with a degree in English, Jones subsequently moved to New York in pursuit of a career in acting!

Before Tommy Lee Jones' movie career had started, he actually first starred in Broadway in 1969 and again in 1971. His film debut was in 1970's Love Story, where he coincidentally plays the role of a Harvard student. In his first major performance on-screen, Jones would receive a Golden Globe nomination for his role in Coal Miner's Daughter. 

His next critically acclaimed piece was in 1983's The Executioner's Song, where he won his first Emmy award for Best Actor.

In 1989, Jones would receive recognition from the Emmy's again for his part in the television mini-series Lonesome Dove. Although he ended up not winning the Emmy's Best Actor award, he did ultimately receive the Golden Globe award for Best Supporting Actor!

His role in The Fugitive was his first and only Oscar win, respectively. However, his blockbuster films like the Men in Black franchise and Space Cowboys had major successes in the box office! MIB grossed an incredible $589.3 million at the box office, while Space Cowboys, starring Clint Eastwood, garnered an impressive $128.9 million! 

One of his most famed roles in No Country for Old Men went onto win four Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Supporting Actor for Javier Bardem.

In his personal life, Jones has been married to Dawn Laurel since March 2001, his third wife. He has two children from a previous marriage to Kimberlea Cloughley.
