Wayne Brady's Rise To Fame
Wayne Brady was born June 2nd, 1972 in Columbus, Georgia, and raised by his strong grandmother Valerie Peterson. From the very young age of 16, Wayne began performing in theater and improv comedy groups.
He first got major attention by performing on the original British improv show Whose Line Is It Anyway? and became a regular on the extremely popular American version hosted by Drew Carey. Wayne even won a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Individual Performance in a Variety or Music Program!
Brady then starred in his own show creatively named The Wayne Brady Show that won 4 Daytime Emmy's! He landed countless features on hit shows like the Chappelle's Show, Reno 911!, Wild 'N Out, 30 Rock, How I Met Your Mother, WWE Raw, and RuPaul's Drag Race!

He's also an incredible Broadway actor, joining the cast of Chicago as "Billy Flynn" and Hamilton as "Aaron Burr". Wayne is so charismatic and hilarious he has hosted the show Don't Forget the Lyrics!, Let's Make a Deal, and The Late Late Show.
Since his time on Whose Line he won the latest season of The Masked Singer! And now he is a recurring character on the CW show Black Lightning as "Tyson Sykes a.k.a. Gravedigger." Wayne Brady still performs stand up and records music to this day.
