Bocelli's performance took place in Italy, a country hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Accordingly, he sang without an audience and at a safe distance from the organist. The concert trended as the #1 video on YouTube worldwide on Easter Monday.

With the concert, the singer also included a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for emergency relief in Italy.
