John F. Kennedy (†46), the 35th President of the United States of America, received the most provocative birthday serenade of all times on his 45th birthday (1962) in New York's Madison Square Garden.

Actress Marilyn Monroe (†36) aspirated for him the world-famous "Happy Birthday, Mr President" and provoked the rumors about an affair.

Matching her provocative performance Marilyn wore a skin-colored silk dress with 2,500 rhinestones by Jean Louis (†89), which was sewn together directly on her body at the time. Since the dress was so tight, Marilyn was not able to wear any underwear. "It was just the silk dress and the crystals," Martin Nolan, managing director of Julien's auction house, told the Irish Times.

Martin Nolan also announced that the famous dress was auctioned in November 2017 for a whopping $4.8 million. It was purchased by Ripley Entertainment Inc. and is exhibited in its museum. What most people don't know: Marilyn Monroe's appearance at the Presidential Gala in New York eventually caused her loosing her job in the shooting of Something's Got to Give as she had actually been on sick leave.
