Charity Receives Flowers from Meghan's Baby Shower

The Duchess of Sussex
February 26, 2019 - 15:45 / Administrator User

The Duchess of Sussex is known for her philanthropy and never misses a trick when it comes to charitable causes. Meghan's baby shower was awash with a sea of spectacular floral displays last week, but they didn't all go to waste once the party was over! Instead the floral displays were donated to the charity Repeat Roses.

Duchess Meghan (37) flew to the Big Apple last week to attend a baby shower thrown by her close friends and organised by tennis pro Serena Williams! The shower was a lavish affair with a star-studded guest list, which included Amal Clooney, Priyanka Chopra (36) and Abigail Spencer (37) and took place at The Mark Hotel in New York. The event is rumoured to have cost more than half a million Dollars and was held in a $75,000-a-night penthouse suite at the hotel.

A flower arranging class was given for guests attending the shower, and a variety of blooms from the Upper East Side florist Lady Fleur were used to create beautiful displays. The entire array of displays was donated to charity Repeat Roses, an organisation that uses flowers from corporate events or weddings to brighten up hospices, cancer treatment centres and homeless shelters. The flowers from Meghan's baby shower went to several charities, including to paediatric cancer patients at the Ronald McDonald House Charities in New York.

Oh what fun it was to teach an "amazing" flower class yesterday for Meghan Markle (So sweet! So engaged! A class act!) and her closest pals at the Mark Hotel! Thank you to my dear friend Jennifer @jzevents for asking me to be a part of this experience, for my friend Darcy @darcymiller for styling the most beautiful dessert buffet, Julie @ladyjcreative for the chicest baby shower games ever invented and @repeatroses for delivering the finished arrangements to ACS Hope Lodge and Unique People Services. It's all fun and games but ultimately giving back is the most satisfying! #mymindisblown #sothankful #nothingforgranted #lewismillerdesign #stylingnature #inconstantpursuitofbeauty ‍♂️

While collecting the flowers from The Mark, Repeat Roses took to Instagram to share the amazing displays and also to give fans a glimpse of the penthouse where Meghan's baby shower took place.
