Duchess Kate Wears Gorgeous Blue Dress To Buckingham Palace Meeting With Ukrainian President
On Wednesday, Duchess Kate debuted another stunning look! Looking beautiful in an elegant blue dress made by one of her favourite designers, she and Prince William stood in for the queen as they held an audience with Ukranian president Volodymyr Zelensky and his wife. See the photos here!
Duchess Kate showed up in style for her most recent royal engagement, stepping out while wearing a gorgeous blue dress! As Hello! shares, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge hosted Ukranian president Volodymyr Zelensky and his wife Olga Zelenska at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday, and Kate's outfit certainly caught people's eye!
Kate's dress was designed by fashion brand Emilia Wickstead
Duchess Kate opted for a stylish but classy look as she and William returned to Buckingham Palace on October 7 to meet with Ukraine's leader. And as Hello! mentions, her choice of attire for the event happened to come from one of her favourite designers!
Kate looked stunning in a long-sleeved, light blue Emilia Wickstead dress, which she offset with a blue pendant necklace and earrings. The Duchess of Cambridge kept the rest of her look simple, pairing it with nude pointed pumps and minimal makeup. Zelensky's wife Olga also dressed to impress, wearing an asymmetrical white skirt suit complemented by a brown belt!
Kate and William said to be standing in for Queen Elizabeth II
Duchess Kate and Prince William's latest appearance at Buckingham Palace is especially significant, since it marks a return to the venue for the royal family! That's because as Hello! reports, Buckingham Palace has not been used to host royal events since March, when the coronavirus pandemic first caused the United Kingdom to go into lockdown.
Kate and William supposedly stepped in for Queen Elizabeth II as they spoke with the president of Ukraine and his wife during their two-day trip to the United Kingdom. In August, it was said that the queen would not be returning to Buckingham Palace in 2020. Last month, she and and Prince Philip recently exited their summer home of Balmoral for Sandringham, and now she's relocated to Windsor Castle— without her husband!
Earlier this week, Kate was seen making a surprise visit to support university students in the Midlands! She's also not the only royal to be noticed for her fashion as of late, as Princess Charlene of Monaco was seen wearing a stunning sequin gown at the Monte-Carlo gala!
