Harry And Meghan "Have Endless Gratitude" For Tyler Perry, Source Says
A source shared with People that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are extremely grateful to Tyler Perry for letting them stay at his home! The insider also explained why the couple chose to move to Santa Barbara. Get the details here!
Harry and Meghan couldn't be more grateful that Tyler Perry gave them a place to stay during these challenging past few months! A source opened up in this week's issue of People about how glad the couple is that Perry opened his home to them.
Harry and Meghan had "a safe haven" in Perry's mansion
Harry and Meghan moved to the United States after briefly living in Canada, and stayed in Perry's Beverly Hills mansion when they first made the move to California! "They're really grateful to Tyler Perry for his kindness," the source said of the couple. "They have endless gratitude to him for helping them during a complicated time. With COVID and as they were stepping back from their royal duties, he provided them a safe haven."
While living in Los Angeles, Harry and Meghan also continued their charitable work! They volunteered to deliver food for Project Angel Food amidst the coronavirus pandemic in April, and helped out at Homeboy Industries' gang rehab facility in June. "What Meghan said is she wanted to show Harry Los Angeles through the eyes of philanthropy. It’s just beautiful," Project Angel Food's executive director, Richard Ayoub, previously told People. "There’s obviously a great deal of love and selflessness between them."
Harry and Meghan want son Archie to have normalcy in life
Harry and Meghan had planned to spend time in Los Angeles over the summer earlier on this year, but it came as a surprise when the couple decided to make a permanent move to California! Recently, Harry and Meghan bought a home in Santa Barbara, and the source reveals that the decision was made in the hopes of allowing them to give their son Archie "as normal a life as possible."
"They were craving a smaller community and a slower pace," the insider told People. "Montecito is very mellow, a charming little town and the Santa Barbara [area] offers an ideal lifestyle that they’re looking forward to. They feel the new house is a place of peace — and it offers inspiration to build Archewell [foundation], which they’re focused on."
Harry and Meghan recently made their first joint video call appearance from their new home, as they talked to youth leaders in the Queen's Commonwealth Trust. Hopefully their new home in Montecito will be able to give them the kind of peaceful privacy they've been wanting!
