Meghan Markle and Prince Harry tied the knot mere weeks ago, but instead of swanning off on the kind of luxury Honeymoon most of us mere mortals can only dream of, the royal couple have attended numerous events over the past two months. And the pressure is on, according to the Daily Mail, Meghan is being given "duchess lessons" to ensure that there are no etiquette slip-ups!

Meghan and Harry hit the ground running as they made their first public appearance just three (!) days after their wedding at the The Prince of Wales's 70th Birthday Patronage Celebration held at Buckingham Palace on 22nd May.

They squeezed in a short honeymoon in the Rocky Mountains in Canada at the beginning of June, staying in the Outlook Cabin at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. The park, which is a UNESCO world heritage site, must have been the perfect place to relax and unwind after the media circus that was their wedding. The choice of destination was not as unlikely as it might first have seemed to some fans, the cabin is also known as the Royal Retreat and both the Queen and Prince Philip, and King George VI and Queen Elizabeth have stayed there in the past.

Returning to England, Harry and Meghan joined the rest of the Royal Family for the Trooping the Colour festivities on 9th June. Even though Meghan, who looked stunning in a pink, off-the-shoulder dress by Carolina Herrera, was a bit nervous, Harry put Meghan at ease, explaining the ceremony to her.

And, she must have made a good impression because the Queen invited her to join her in Cheshire opening the Mersey Gateway Bridge and the Storyhouse theatre in Chester. It was Meghan's first solo appearance with Queen Elizabeth and they journeyed to Cheshire together on the Royal Train. The outing to Cheshire seems to have been a roaring success, judging by this photo of the Queen and Duchess of Sussex giggling together.

Meghan takes Ascot by storm

Less than a week after her first public appearance with the Queen without Prince Harry by her side, newlyweds Harry and Meghan attended Royal Ascot on the first afternoon of the five-day event. On her very first royal race day ever, she had to hand out a trophy, but managed to look like a seasoned professional doing so.

On June the 26th, Harry and Meghan joined the Queen for the Queens Young Leaders Awards Ceremony at Buckingham Palace. The award celebrates the achievements of young people from all over the Commonwealth, who have worked tirelessly to improve the lives of those around them. Meghan once again opted for pink, this time wearing an elegant, double-breasted Prada number.

Less than a week ago the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the Your Commonwealth Youth Challenge reception at Marlborough House, an event held in honour of young people trying to shape the future of the Commonwealth for the better. The Duke was appointed Commonwealth Youth Ambassador in April 2018.

Meghan and Harry's calenders are full for the foreseeable future!

It looks as if there will be no chance for the young royals to catch their breath during the coming months either, as Meghan and Harry will embark on their first royal tour this autumn. They will be travelling to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and the Kingdom of Tonga.
