Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan will probably not spend this Christmas with Queen Elizabeth II and the rest of the royal family. Instead, they will reportedly stay in California and celebrate their own festivities.

The British royal family spent their last Christmas together in 2018. In 2019, Prince Harry (36) and Duchess Meghan (39) spent the holidays in Canada with Doria Ragland (64), Meghan's mother.

Now it seems to be clear that the couple and their little son Archie (1) will not spend this Christmas with the Queen and the Royal Family on the property in Sandringham in Norfolk either. However, it's also unsure at this point in time if the Queen will get to celebrate the Christmas Holidays with any extended family due to COVID-19.

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan: they are "not ready"

As friends of Harry and Meghan report, the couple is "not ready" to head back to the UK for a festive family gathering. This is reported by Royal expert Katie Nicholl of Vanity Fair. "At this stage they are really enjoying their new life in California and their new home. There are currently no plans for them to return to the U.K. for Christmas," the source revealed.

Harry and Meghan: Christmas in Santa Barbara

Officially, the two of them canceled the trip because of the coronavirus pandemic. Prince Harry, Duchess Meghan, and their son Archie will celebrate Christmas 2020 in their new home in Santa Barbara, California. According to Mirror Meghan wants to celebrate all the traditions she grew up with as a child... including cooking!

However, some suspect that there's another reason the couple stayed away: The alleged argument between Prince Harry and Prince William could be the reason.

"Let’s just say that while things are better between Harry and his brother, it’s not what it was, and I don’t think anyone is ready for a cozy family Christmas right now," reports the Royal expert for Vanity Fair.
