Harry & Meghan Announce New TIME100 Talks Episode

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's new media gig has been revealed. Up next, the Duke and Duchess will serve as hosts of a TIME100 Talks special on "Engineering a Better World." It focuses on our online experiences and will see the couple talk with Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian and the hosts of Teenager Therapy, the teen-hosted podcast they appeared on last week. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reconnecting with recent friends for their new media appearance. On Oct. 20, the Duke and Duchess will host a TIME100 Talks special, where they'll lead a conversation on pursuing a more "compassionate, safe, and trustworthy digital world." 

In the TIME100 Talk, titled "Engineering a Better World," the couple will host Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian and the teenage hosts of the Teenager Therapy podcast, which Harry and Meghan appeared on last week.

On Friday, TIME announced the new collaboration with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, a curated online conversation you can watch by registering with TIME100 Talks. The talk on "the state of our shared digital experience" airs on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 1 p.m. ET.  

TIME adds that the talk "reflects a foundational element of The Duke and Duchess’ nonprofit Archewell – building online communities that are more compassionate, safe, and trustworthy." Harry and Meghan will make opening and closing remarks, and lead the conversations.

Harry and Meghan re-team with TIME and Teenager Therapy

The upcoming TIME100 Talks comes after the Duke and Duchess were presenters and spoke on the importance of voting during the 2020 TIME100 TV special. The couple also joined Teenager Therapy podcast this past Saturday on World Mental Health Day 2020, when Meghan spoke on the damaging effects that online spaces can have on mental health.

Other guests on the TIME100 Talks episode include Rappler CEO Maria Ressa, Center for Human Technology president Tristan Harris, the Loveland Foundation founder Rachel Cargle, UCLA Center for Critical Internet Inquiry co-director Safiya U.
